The Lakeside Free Thinkers

We meet in the back room (behind the mirrors) of the restaurant of the Nueva Posada Hotel on the third Wednesday of each month. The meeting starts at 4pm and goes until approximately 6pm. In order to use this space for our meetings, each participant must order at least 80 pesos worth of food or drink. (Not a difficult requirement to fulfill.) Hope to see you there.

• At the March 16, 2016 meeting a request was made for the bylaws of the association and a copy of the article by Katie Roiphe on dying. They are available at the links above.
• At the April 20, 2016 meeting Henry Laxen gave a presentation entitled "It ain't necessarily so" about the Banach-Tarski theorem. The slides he used are available here.
• At the June 15th meeting John Stokdijk gave a book report on ​ Touching a Nerve ­ Our Brains, Our Selves by Patricia Churchland, his speakers notes and book report are available here.
• On March 15 and April 19th Stephen Segall gave a presentation about Human Evolution, and way Darwin's "theory" is much more that a "theory." The notes he used to accompany the presentation are here.
